based on the title I was hoping that it was about other aspects than food. Veganism isn’t only food. And it becomes a lot more nuanced when you take all those other aspects in consideration.

I do feel you about the daily difficulties about eating vegan outside. But I consider my responsibility for the choices I make. If someone takes me to to a restaurant I order non-vegan without too much guilt.
But there are so many other things to take in consideration.
Electronics are made of metals. Those metal mines pollute rivers and kill millions of fish. To me, being vegan is also take in consideration those points. The impact of the clothing industry is enormous. There are almond plantations that are horrible for the environment.
Every part of our life, the products we consume, the clothes we wear, the activities we do have some kind of impact. Some direct, others indirect.
Just focussing on food isn’t enough but stressing about it is not useful. You do what you can. Although we almost always think we can do better, maybe should do better.
It’s about making choices so you hurt animals as least as possible and to do a lot of things that help them.
Not just about not eating meat, dairy and eggs. I would even argue that when someone serves you eggs you eat it. It’s not very vegan to throw it away and it’s rude to the person serving it.
In the end we have all those decisions that are either good or bad. And the sum of those plusses and minuses say how vegan you are. Making at a scale and not a binary, either/or.
