Normally I thank the author for an article. But it seems you know nothing about animals in general and dogs in particular. Please don’t write any articles on the subject.
It is an other living being. With feelings, emotions, intentions etc. you don’t even see to grasp the basics. People who don’t like dogs have literally a less developed brain. Their empathy (not only for dog but for people) is less developed. ( FMRI brain scans showed that the areas of the brain associated with empathy (such as the anterior cingulate cortex and the left inferior frontal gyrus in this study)) And this statement proves it in your case:
Honestly, if we just banned dogs tomorrow, I’d rejoice

For many people dogs are their life. Yet you rejoice. I seldom react personally. But people who hold this kind of opinion and celebrate the loss felt by others, or don’t care about it, are truly disgusting human beings.
